Recently my friends Jim and Lai married in a lovely ceremony near the village of Brockenhurst in the New Forest.
On their wedding website they said that they fell in love with the area and the wild horses that can be found on the moors after visiting previously.
The morning following the ceremony I had time to take one of the walks through the moors before heading back to Southampton for my flight home and I came away with the same conclusions. The moors are beautiful and indeed you’ll find plenty of horses wandering around, even in the village itself.
They aren’t exactly shy either.
I thoroughly enjoyed my morning stroll and followed it up with hot chocolate and a fresh scone with jam and cream at one of the village tea rooms before catching the train.
