One of the niceties of island life is that your never very far from taking a few moments to chill out.
It’s a fairly nice nice day out of the wind and to be honest I’m not really feeling the urge to do much. So I’ve taken a diversion on the way to the pool to take the bike for a spin and stop off for a hot chocolate at Vale Pond kiosk, look out to the sea and get a little vitamin D.
Of course in ten minutes time I can be back home, in Town or at the pool. Sometimes it’s frustrating to be in a small place and not be able head out to somewhere further afield on a whim, but other times I have to take these moments to remind myself how lucky I am to have this on my doorstep.
