Something a little more recent for this week with this shot from February 2018.
Rome is a wonderful city and one of those places that is everything that you hoped it would be. I’d been trying to get there for a very long time, but the timing just never seemed to work out. This year I was determined to get there at last, and did so for my birthday.
For someone with an interest in history and in particular those locations where the evidence of that history still stands, allowing you to wander amongst it allowing your imagination to fill in the gaps and transport you into the tales and events you’ve only ready about; Rome is an ultimate destination.
Here we see the domes of the churches dominating the skyline as we look back across the city.
